Where do we begin?

People are disappearing. Judges enforce laws and still, people are disappearing. Anyone who understands what is going on, knows that this won't get better until it gets worse. It's been going on for a while, the difference is that it's more visible now. I'm not trying to be pessimistic, I'm just being realistic. This government's history proves that the wellbeing of its people is not the priority. The United States of America are for sale and we are the merchandise.

Since the Palestine-Israel war started being more televised in 2023, I've watched Palestinian babies, children, women and men murdered and slaughtered become a part of my social media scrolling. This isn't normal. But it's become normal. The USA government funds it and defends Israel. What makes us think this government will prioritize its peoples' rights and health when it so clearly shows no concern for others' as longs as their pockets are getting richer?

I'm Mexican and I carry my passport everywhere I go. I'm a citizen but does that matter? People like me, who speak like me, look like me, have rights like me are disappearing. Do we need to start wearing a yellow badge for this to start making sense to everyone else?

It's community that gets us through this. It's trust in others and ourselves. It's care and love and patience. I don't know the future but I know that it's together that we'll make it through this. I don't know what it's like to hold community where everyone is safe and feels valued but I think it's time to figure it out. I love my friends and family but there's a disconnect between what I think and most of them think and value. Where do we begin?
